RISHIKESH

A place of hermits and saints, situated along holy river the Ganges ( Ganga) is known  for its religious importance. The town is about 25 km from Haridwar and 220 km from Delhi. It is one of the best located pilgrimage centre connected by roads and rail, a place known for spiritual & meditation activities which attract foreign tourists too. It is situated at the foot of Shivalik hills of Himalaya which surround it at three sides. . Laxman Jhula & Ram Jhula, the two hanging bridges are attraction for the tourists in addition to sports activities like river rafting, rock climbing, tracking, paragliding etc. The place is known for peace and tranquility and is suited not only to the students of hill regions of UttrakhandState but also the students of other regions due to its connectivity by rail and roads.

 
 
  • By Rail: Rishikesh and Raiwala are two nearby railway stations which are 9 km and 4 km away from the Institute respectively.
  • By Road: Candidate coming to the institute my get down it Shyampur (Rishikesh).    
  • By Air: There is a daily regular flight of the Air Deccan from Delhi to Jollygrant, the only aerodrome of Uttrakhand which is about 25 km from the institute.
